Kick Start Your Success: Book Recommendation and Giveaway
August 2, 2006 ·
I’m not a fan of many business success and marketing books out there. They often seem filled with big, vague promises and more about how great the author-guru is than how to be truly, practically helpful to building a successful business.
About a month ago I heard a business author interviewed on a marketing podcast and the guy said enough compelling things that I started to really pay attention. I even went so far as to buy his most recent book, which I read in a single evening recently. It was easily consumable, concisely focused, and good.
I’m going to give away a free copy of the book, Romanus Wolter’s Kick Start Your Success, to one lucky member of my mailing list later this month. Here’s why: Romanus walks you through a simple set of answerable questions about the intentions behind your professional dreams. With a few hours of focused work, you will emerge with very clear benefits-oriented language to explain what you do, why you do it, and its value to your listener and target market. No mediator jargon needed. Wolter says,
Defining the benefit you offer gets you out of your head and into the power of your passion…Intent personalizes and humanizes your goal, motivating people to want to know more about it.
It’s exactly that work and that language that form the foundation for your marketing and promotion efforts, and I want to support you in moving things forward for yourself.
