Mastering Mediation: A Collaborative ADR Blog

November 1, 2006 ·

It’s been in the works since July. It’s a collaborative effort. Writers are seasoned mediators, mediation professors and trainers, and mediators-in-training.

And now it’s live, ready for your visits. (No, it’s not the collaborative new project I mentioned yesterday—that announcement’s still coming!)

Mastering Mediation: Mediators Reflect on Learning, Teaching and Training is a new, collaborative blog I’m editing. It’s an exploration of the ways we learn to be effective mediators and how to teach people to become so.

My co-conspirators are my faculty colleagues in Woodbury College’s Master’s program in Mediation and Applied Conflict Studies and our talented graduate mediation students from all over the U.S. We’ve been teaching and learning mediation at Woodbury for more than two decades and have a thought or two about our craft.

We hope our musings, reflections and the occasional challenges will make Mastering Mediation a place you want to visit regularly, whether you’re a seasoned practitioner, an ADR trainer, a new professional, or someone considering a move into ADR work. And we hope you’ll leave comments on our articles so that we can build dialogue together about the preparation of professionals in our field.

We’re just getting going with articles, so there’s much more to come. Stop by and take a look around,
Tammy
