border-collie.pngMy monthly roundup is a short list of links to free or reasonably priced services and articles that help make the job of building and managing a thriving practice a little bit easier.

  • For the road warrior peacemaker: SmallBusiness.com’s listing of Free Wi-Fi in Airports, a database of U.S. airports offering free wireless Internet.
  • Know someone who wants email but doesn’t own a computer or has difficulty with a computer’s small type? Genuine Curiosity reviews IfByPhone, a service for listening to email messages by telephone.
  • Free online technical courses from CNET: Take short, non-credit free courses via email on topics ranging from protecting your computer from spyware to text messaging on your phone. Beginner topics and up.
  • Direct mail postcard service: AmazingMail allows you to design a postcard online, using your graphics or theirs, and have it printed and mailed to your mailing list the next day. I’ve not used their service but hear it’s professional and fairly priced.
  • 10 Free Advertising Ideas: One terrific little article…mediators can (and should) do just what the landscaper’s doing.
  • And in this gift-giving season, if you’ve been looking for a service that can transform a favorite digital photo into a poster, then Cool Tool’s Kevin Kelly has a recommendation.
