ADR marketing and management workshop in November
On November 14, 12:30-4:30 pm, you can get the wit and wisdom of The Mediation Channel and Mediator Tech in a single informative, entertaining, and fun workshop, Digital Technology You Can Try at Home: Easy and Affordable Tech Tips for Managing and Marketing Your ADR Practice.
Diane Levin and I will teach you how to make the most of out of a web presence for ADR practice-building with cost-effective, user-friendly ways to market your practice online and manage your private practice. This workshop is for both those of you who have no website yet but want one, and those who wish to upgrade and leverage your presence in cyberspace.
We’ll be at the Sheraton Harborside in scenic downtown Portsmouth, NH, less than an hour from Boston. If you register before October 31, you’ll receive the earlybird registration rate of $95.
Legal Trends launches social network
Legal Trends Network, an international information resource and collaborative exchange for lawyers and social justice professionals, had a major launch this week. In a press release, LTN mover and shaker Gina Drew said,
“I began to notice how lawyers are using social networks to form connections within their disciplines and cultures. But those connections were spread across many different social networking sites, and there has been minimal cross-over conducive to conversation or collaboration between groups. At the same time, professional associations, while effectively promoting their members, have done very little to facilitate networking among their members in a web-based environment.”
I’m there, too, as one of LegalTrends’ trendsetters. Come on over for a visit!
Hold the date for a Conflict Zen retreat
A number of mediators have expressed interest in joining one of my Conflict Zen retreats this fall, so I’ve added one for late autumn.
Mark your calendar now for November 7-8. I haven’t finalized the location yet but it will be in New England and I’m in conversation with several beautiful, inspiring locations. The retreat will begin Friday afternoon, November 7 and wrap late afternoon on Saturday, November 8.
I’ll announce the details in the next few weeks.
Geoff Sharp offers up a commercial mediation survey
If you are an attorney who integrates mediation into your dispute resolution practice you may be interested in Geoff Sharp’s commercial mediation survey. And if you’re not, you should be interested anyway, as there’s some pretty fascinating material there, even though Geoff wasn’t trying to produce a scientifically valid instrument.
Geoff’s also pointed out what a helpful marketing tool the survey turned out to be. Do go on over for a visit.
