Design licensing
I’m asked frequently if I design sites for people other than mediators, if my site’s design can be copied, and what theme I use as the basis for the design. Here’s that information and more.
Do you design sites for people who aren’t mediators?
Yes, when my client load permits it. Drop me a note and we can discuss your timeline and needs, my availability, and pricing. If I’m not available, I refer clients to a limited set of trusted coders and designers who can help you instead.
Can I use your site design?
No, you don’t have permission to use the design, or “skin,” which is the product of many hours of my time. If you wish me to do a design for your site that is based on the one here, contact me to discuss it.
What theme is your site design based on?
It’s designed, or “skinned,” using Brian Gardner’s excellent Revolution theme as the foundation.
Can I resell your design or the Revolution theme?
You may not resell this skin.
Can I use your skin or the Revolution theme on a WordPress.com free account?
Unfortunately no, since Revolution cannot be imported into to the group of themes that WordPress.com uses. You can purchase it for use in a self-hosted WordPress installation.
